The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind DF CSKA Vladikavkaz's goalkeeper Ludwig Caers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 6 minutes into the game, Ricky Swin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DF CSKA Vladikavkaz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave kvk Avelgem the free kick. Ricky Swin kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Sebastian Liboton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Diederick Deckkers. The goal made the score 1-0. Edgard Rockloos might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ludwig Caers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgard Rockloos ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ricky Swin was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 17 minutes had been played. The supporters of kvk Avelgem booed when DF CSKA Vladikavkaz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricky Swin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeoffrey Sproten took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ludwig Caers. DF CSKA Vladikavkaz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mathieux Lannoye kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Francois Kempenaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ludwig Caers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ludwig Caers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francois Kempenaerts in the 35th minute of play. After 37 minutes, Christoph Roussel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DF CSKA Vladikavkaz and the kvk Avelgem players grew even worse after the yellow card. Christoph Roussel kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. A collision led to kvk Avelgem getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Stefaan Van Hoeyvelt hit a great ball. Diederick Deckkers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christoph Roussel in the 42nd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Francois Kempenaerts made the kick off in the second half. Sebastian Liboton kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After 63 played minutes, kvk Avelgem's Jeoffrey Sproten shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ludwig Caers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in kvk Avelgem reached it. Stefaan Van Hoeyvelt struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Ludwig Caers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for kvk Avelgem. Stefaan Van Hoeyvelt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ludwig Caers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francois Kempenaerts in the 74th minute of the match. Louis Callaerts took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diederick Deckkers. Diederick Deckkers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, DF CSKA Vladikavkaz's Christoph Roussel got a free kick in the 79th minute. After 86 minutes of play, DF CSKA Vladikavkaz's Louis Callaerts made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diederick Deckkers was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Louis Callaerts in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diederick Deckkers saved kvk Avelgem from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Louis Callaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot. DF CSKA Vladikavkaz's supporters rose to their feet, but Louis Callaerts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diederick Deckkers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. DF CSKA Vladikavkaz were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of kvk Avelgem for a fine match.
