Loid Callens came out of the goal and Louis Callaerts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Louis Callaerts might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Loid Callens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Louis Callaerts ran back to his position shaking his head. Sebastian Liboton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sebastian Liboton struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Loid Callens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DF CSKA Vladikavkaz. After a defensive mix-up in DF CSKA Vladikavkaz's zone, Freek Schoenmaekers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ludwig Caers came out of the goal and Freek Schoenmaekers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 12 played minutes DF CSKA Vladikavkaz got a freekick which was hit by Thommy Hoes. Ludwig Caers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mike De Reijck in the 13th minute. In the 17th minute, Louis Callaerts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, FC Nieuwpoort's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Liboton came free, but Loid Callens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Sebastian Liboton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Freek Schoenmaekers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, DF CSKA Vladikavkaz's goalkeeper Ludwig Caers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mike De Reijck. Robbrecht Maerschalks's late challenge caught a DF CSKA Vladikavkaz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robbrecht Maerschalks helped the player get up and apologised. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Nieuwpoort! Mathieux Lannoye shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Louis Callaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Loid Callens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Freek Schoenmaekers was the one to do the kick off. If Mike De Reijck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 72 minutes, Freek Schoenmaekers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Nieuwpoort's supporters crossed their fingers, but Freek Schoenmaekers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Freek Schoenmaekers came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the FC Nieuwpoort fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freek Schoenmaekers couldn't finish the play. FC Nieuwpoort's Loid Callens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save FC Nieuwpoort from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute, DF CSKA Vladikavkaz's Sebastian Liboton ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Loid Callens. Loid Callens yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. DF CSKA Vladikavkaz walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
