If Raymond Vranx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 minutes of play, KFC Waarebeek's Thibau Soens made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joseph Swiggers was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Frans de Nooter fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Maissin's protests and gave Frans de Nooter a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of KFC Waarebeek booed when FC Maissin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frans de Nooter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danny Wouqier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joseph Swiggers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nic Klaes in the 95th minute of the match. Thibau Soens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Swiggers having to interfere. FC Maissin's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
