Henrik Schroons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Joost Bellinkx having to interfere. When Gabriel Elens came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Putte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Elens couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Borchtlombeek getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Tom De Ceuster hit a great ball. Jim Verhoeven took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jan-Joost Bellinkx. Borchtlombeek's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Borchtlombeek's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Elens came free, but Jan-Joost Bellinkx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Alexander Tilemans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 42nd minute Henrik Schroons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Joost Bellinkx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Putte's goal looked a bit too open when Tom De Ceuster came free, but Werner Van der Voert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriel Elens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Putte were awarded a corner. Jim Verhoeven went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Jim Verhoeven got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jan-Joost Bellinkx quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Henrik Schroons could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Jan-Joost Bellinkx made a huge save. In the 62nd minute, Gabriel Elens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matthew Van den Sande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Werner Van der Voert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Borchtlombeek's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Elens came free, but Jan-Joost Bellinkx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Elens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matthew Van den Sande kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Tom De Ceuster had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Werner Van der Voert. Putte's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tom De Ceuster was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
