The referee ignored FC Maissin's protests and gave Vince Laporte a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Vince Laporte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Maissin's Joseph Swiggers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daan Wigers in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Wellen's Daan Wigers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joseph Swiggers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Wellen booed when FC Maissin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frans de Nooter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daan Wigers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Swiggers having to interfere. The throw-in from Wesly De Ridder in the 13th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Wellen's Jacobus Van Den Broek. Joseph Swiggers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daan Wigers in the 16th minute of the match. Raymond Vranx blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arsene Geijselinckx having to make a save. 24 minutes into the match, Wellen's goalkeeper Arsene Geijselinckx had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danny Wouqier. Wellen's Daan Wigers got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Jacobus Van Den Broek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wellen's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacobus Van Den Broek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joseph Swiggers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joseph Swiggers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daan Wigers's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Wouter Vandamme struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Joseph Swiggers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wellen. Jacobus Van Den Broek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Joseph Swiggers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daan Wigers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daan Wigers got free with Joseph Swiggers in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th match minute, FC Maissin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vince Laporte to maneuver through the defense. Daan Wigers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Swiggers having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Jacobus Van Den Broek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daan Wigers in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joseph Swiggers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 77th match minute, FC Maissin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vince Laporte to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC Maissin's zone, Jacobus Van Den Broek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joseph Swiggers came out of the goal and Jacobus Van Den Broek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Vince Laporte was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 81 minutes had been played. Vince Laporte kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. When Wellen's Daan Wigers in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Maissin's goalie prevented a goal. Joseph Swiggers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacobus Van Den Broek, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Wellen's Arsene Geijselinckx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raymond Vranx in the 93rd minute of play. Wellen were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing FC Maissin to leave the ground with a draw.
