Douglas Van Lueven was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 16 minutes into the match, KFC Waarebeek's goal looked a bit too open when Henrik Schroons came free, but Douglas Van Lueven reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Michael Meertens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Henrik Schroons came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Putte fans jumped to their feet. After a rather tough play, KFC Waarebeek's Fre Van Essche got a free kick in the 21st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henrik Schroons in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Douglas Van Lueven saved KFC Waarebeek from getting behind. Dimitri Thielens hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Schroons in the 29th minute of play forced KFC Waarebeek's goalkeeper Douglas Van Lueven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Henrik Schroons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. KFC Waarebeek's Douglas Van Lueven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Elens in the 34th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gabriel Elens to strike the kick off in the second half. Thibau Soens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Werner Van der Voert having to interfere. Joachim Rummens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Putte getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Johny Van der Poorten hit a great ball. In the 67th match minute, KFC Waarebeek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Meertens to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Elens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Douglas Van Lueven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the game, Gabriel Elens lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Douglas Van Lueven.
