In the 28th minute Matthy Schoutens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sander Billen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sander Billen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robby Boede went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Alexandre Van Haechtens short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Florian Van Severen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alexandre Van Haechten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Van Severen having to interfere. Florian Van Severen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martijn Eijkens, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Florian Van Severen made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Alexandre Van Haechten sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th match minute, Borgloon KFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viktor Loots to maneuver through the defense. The Borgloon KFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kortessem were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matthy Schoutens made a kick off. When Matthy Schoutens came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Kortessem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthy Schoutens couldn't finish the play. In the 55th minute Kortessem were awarded a corner. Marc Roeland went to the cornerflag to take it. Matthy Schoutens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
