Jaspar Frans hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Phillipe De Raeijmaecker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mathijs Van Wontergem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Van Buyten in the 15th minute of the match. If Brian Volens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, AFC Veenzijde's Brian Volens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacques Wolfdoncx narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Brian Volens's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jacques Wolfdoncx firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 33 played minutes AFC Veenzijde got a freekick which was hit by Gillis Verstraeten. Gillis Verstraeten kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the game, Qwinten Van Hoyvelt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. Patat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC Veenzijde the free kick. Brian Volens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Jacques Wolfdoncx made a huge save. Kurt Van Buyten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Mathijs Van Wontergem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Phillipe De Raeijmaecker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AFC Veenzijde's Mathijs Van Wontergem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phillipe De Raeijmaecker in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Dyllan Enskens made the kick off in the second half. Jacques Wolfdoncx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian Volens in the 54th minute of play. AFC Veenzijde's Mathijs Van Wontergem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Van Buyten in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Anthoon Van Caenegem was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. Patat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC Veenzijde the free kick. In the 63rd match minute, F.C. Patat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthoon Van Caenegem to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to F.C. Patat getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Regis Tael hit a great ball. Sebastian Vereeken took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacques Wolfdoncx. F.C. Patat's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dyllan Enskens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th match minute, F.C. Patat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthoon Van Caenegem to maneuver through the defense. In the 79thth minute of the game Brian Volens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. Patat's Jacques Wolfdoncx was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anthoon Van Caenegem was shown his second yellow card after 81 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Anthoon Van Caenegem kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Dyllan Enskens managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Veenzijde's supporters rose to their feet, but Dyllan Enskens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacques Wolfdoncx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dyllan Enskens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacques Wolfdoncx having to interfere. Jacques Wolfdoncx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dyllan Enskens in the 91st minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. F.C. Patat walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
