When Andreas Verstraeten fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KAA Reigerloo's protests and gave Andreas Verstraeten a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to KAA Reigerloo getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Andreas Verstraeten hit a great ball. If Brian Volens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dyllan Enskens in the 8th minute of play forced KAA Reigerloo's goalkeeper Laurenz Stevens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laurenz Stevens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Volens in the 9th minute of the match. Qwinten De Wortelaers kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Brian Volens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind KAA Reigerloo's goalkeeper Laurenz Stevens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in KAA Reigerloo's zone, Brian Volens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laurenz Stevens came out of the goal and Brian Volens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brian Volens in the 19th minute of play forced KAA Reigerloo's goalkeeper Laurenz Stevens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AFC Veenzijde's Brian Volens got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mathijs Van Wontergem made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Albert Deville sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th match minute, AFC Veenzijde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaspar Frans to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the game, Gillis Verstraeten was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC Veenzijde's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KAA Reigerloo the free kick. In the 31st minute, Gillis Verstraeten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Josef Van Boxstael's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Mathijs Van Wontergem - 1-0 was put on the score board in the 32nd minute. Dyllan Enskens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Albert Deville had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Brian Volens managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Veenzijde's supporters rose to their feet, but Brian Volens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laurenz Stevens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

A collision led to AFC Veenzijde getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Sebastian Vereeken hit a great ball. KAA Reigerloo's Josef Van Boxstael couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 56th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for AFC Veenzijde. Dyllan Enskens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Laurenz Stevens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brian Volens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mathijs Van Wontergem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Deville in the 65th minute of play. Renaut Eli hit a great ball. Dyllan Enskens might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Laurenz Stevens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dyllan Enskens ran back to his position shaking his head. Dyllan Enskens blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laurenz Stevens having to make a save.
