Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Guust Van Eyke started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, KAA Nismes's Gillis Segers got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Guust Van Eyke scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nickolas Demeyer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Max Pelsmaeker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nickolas Demeyer having to interfere. Jorne De Backer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to KAA Nismes getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Abel Keuppens hit a great ball. After some careless play in the KSV Grandmenil defense, Guust Van Eyke kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nickolas Demeyer. The KSV Grandmenil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nickolas Demeyer should have stopped the shot. Nickolas Demeyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guust Van Eyke, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Ricky Wyns stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vicente Suetens's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Suetens in the 29th minute of play forced KAA Nismes's goalkeeper Ricky Wyns to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jilian Rouckeloos during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, KAA Nismes's Ronny Enfant got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half KAA Nismes were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Vicente Suetens made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, KAA Nismes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gillis Segers to maneuver through the defense. Guust Van Eyke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nickolas Demeyer having to interfere. Luke Asselberghs struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Nickolas Demeyer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KAA Nismes. Guust Van Eyke in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nickolas Demeyer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 66th play minute Guust Van Eyke came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nickolas Demeyer. 0-3. 70 minutes into the match, KSV Grandmenil's goalkeeper Nickolas Demeyer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guust Van Eyke. The supporters of KAA Nismes booed when KSV Grandmenil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jilian Rouckeloos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guust Van Eyke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Nickolas Demeyer made a huge save. Guust Van Eyke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. KSV Grandmenil's Nickolas Demeyer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save KSV Grandmenil from getting a goal against them. 88 minutes into the match, KSV Grandmenil's goal looked a bit too open when Jorne De Backer came free, but Nickolas Demeyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. KSV Grandmenil's Mattias Verbruggen got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mattias Verbruggen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricky Wyns having to make a save. When the match was over KAA Nismes could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than KSV Grandmenil throughout the match.
