A very good chance for a goal. 6 minutes into the match, SK Erwetegem's Edward Vereeken sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dave Leerbels narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 9th minute, Fred Struelens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Joachim Versluys notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of SK Erwetegem's Frank Lanphant. Frank Lanphant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edward Vereeken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Dave Leerbels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 played minutes Rotem got a freekick which was hit by Pieterjan Lache. In the 32nd minute Edward Vereeken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Leerbels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edward Vereeken in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dave Leerbels prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Rotem's zone, Henri-Patrick Verdun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dave Leerbels came out of the goal and Henri-Patrick Verdun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dave Leerbels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jannes Stoffels in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute of the match Karel Van Den Wijngaert sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dave Leerbels skillfully saved the ball. Edward Vereeken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Leerbels having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stef Maeijnaerts made a kick off. Rotem's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Jannes Stoffels scored to the left of an out of position Dave Leerbels, making the score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jannes Stoffels in the 60th minute of play forced Rotem's goalkeeper Dave Leerbels to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edward Vereeken's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dave Leerbels firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind SK Erwetegem's goalkeeper Frank Lanphant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, SK Erwetegem's goal looked a bit too open when Stef Maeijnaerts came free, but Frank Lanphant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stef Maeijnaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Lanphant having to interfere. Rotem's Dave Leerbels played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jannes Stoffels in the 84th minute of play. Balthazar Gyselinckx kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Dave Leerbels acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 86th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Karel Van Den Wijngaert. Jannes Stoffels blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dave Leerbels having to make a save. Marc Snieders hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When Jannes Stoffels came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the SK Erwetegem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jannes Stoffels couldn't finish the play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
