With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jullian Van Den Brande in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pieter-Jan Van Bombergen saved Sporting Club Gent from getting behind. Sporting Club Gent's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Jullian Van Den Brande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacobus Dobbeleir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Garry Kant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gwenn Weijgaerts took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pieter-Jan Van Bombergen. Pieter-Jan Van Bombergen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Sporting Club Gent players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
