Steve Schockaert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelis Flocquier in the 13th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Gossii United 1875´ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bobby Van Eijken to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 21 in the game by Charles Uijtterhoeven from a close distance when the talented Pieter-Maarten Eijkens managed to make a qualified save. Gossii United 1875´'s players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Gossii United 1875´'s zone, Jean-Louis Adriaens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pieter-Maarten Eijkens came out of the goal and Jean-Louis Adriaens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustav Van Turnhout hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute of the match, Jean-Louis Adriaens tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pieter-Maarten Eijkens saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jean-Louis Adriaens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Louis Adriaens in the 36th minute of play forced Gossii United 1875´'s goalkeeper Pieter-Maarten Eijkens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pieter-Maarten Eijkens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Louis Adriaens in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Louis Adriaens in the 40th minute of play forced Gossii United 1875´'s goalkeeper Pieter-Maarten Eijkens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 minutes of play, KFC Sassenrode's Charles Uijtterhoeven made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pieter-Maarten Eijkens was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Cornelis Flocquier made the kick off in the second half. Tim Nagels scored 2-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pieter-Maarten Eijkens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jean-Louis Adriaens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pieter-Maarten Eijkens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean-Louis Adriaens, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jean-Louis Adriaens in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pieter-Maarten Eijkens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When KFC Sassenrode's Charles Uijtterhoeven in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gossii United 1875´'s goalie prevented a goal. If Charles Uijtterhoeven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When KFC Sassenrode's Charles Uijtterhoeven in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gossii United 1875´'s Pieter-Maarten Eijkens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Louis Adriaens in the 69th minute of play. Cornelis Flocquier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Schockaert having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Charles Uijtterhoeven got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When KFC Sassenrode's Jean-Louis Adriaens in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. KFC Sassenrode fully deserved thier win.
