Spectators: 6719 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Emile De Kijser got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of KSV Varenwinkel booed when Sint-Laureins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfried Vloebergh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bass Peeters tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sint-Laureins's Emile De Kijser in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KSV Varenwinkel's goalie prevented a goal. In the 24th minute, KSV Varenwinkel's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jammy Van Achter fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emile De Kijser in the 30th minute of play forced KSV Varenwinkel's goalkeeper Luukas Klinkenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, KSV Varenwinkel's goal looked a bit too open when Emile De Kijser came free, but Luukas Klinkenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jesse Uijterhoven fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sint-Laureins's protests and gave Jesse Uijterhoven a yellow card for diving instead. Jesse Uijterhoven hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Jimmy Van der Veeken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tommas de Reyck to strike the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes KSV Varenwinkel got a freekick which was hit by Robin Wijngaerts. Luukas Klinkenberg came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Sint-Laureins's Jammy Van Achter. But to his dismay, Jammy Van Achter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Luukas Klinkenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jammy Van Achter in the 75th minute of the match. Jos Koppens hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Max De Keijsere hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. If Emile De Kijser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Tommas de Reyck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jammy Van Achter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luukas Klinkenberg having to interfere.
