Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Matthew Persoons made the kick off which started today's match. In the 8th minute, Brewers Gold's Abel Van Damme ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fransesco Van Lier. Fransesco Van Lier yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Fransesco Van Lier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claude Van de Velde in the 11th minute of play. Brewers Gold's Claude Van de Velde got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th minute Matthew Persoons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martijn Eekhout saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nils Van Eynde charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nils Van Eynde the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Claude Van de Velde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claude Van de Velde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute of the match Mathieux Van de Schrieck shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fransesco Van Lier showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthew Persoons in the 43rd minute of play forced Brewers Gold's goalkeeper Martijn Eekhout to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Wouter De Bisschop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martijn Eekhout saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 47 minutes, Diederiek Van den Inde managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brewers Gold's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diederiek Van den Inde was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 51stth minute of the game Diederiek Van den Inde who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Black Eagles's Fransesco Van Lier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Claude Van de Velde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vic Langhmans in the 56th minute of play forced The Black Eagles's goalkeeper Fransesco Van Lier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Claude Van de Velde came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Brewers Gold fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claude Van de Velde couldn't finish the play. Claude Van de Velde might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fransesco Van Lier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claude Van de Velde ran back to his position shaking his head. Fransesco Van Lier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Van Damme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martijn Eekhout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthew Persoons in the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claude Van de Velde in the 80th minute of play forced The Black Eagles's goalkeeper Fransesco Van Lier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claude Van de Velde struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Fransesco Van Lier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brewers Gold. After some careless play in the The Black Eagles defense, Diederiek Van den Inde kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fransesco Van Lier. The The Black Eagles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fransesco Van Lier should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Brewers Gold fully deserved thier win.
