In the 19th minute, Westergem's Stephen Van Aertvinck ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nicolas Bastiaens. Nicolas Bastiaens yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. When Arthur-Maurits Enskens came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Westergem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arthur-Maurits Enskens couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arthur-Maurits Enskens got free with Nicolas Bastiaens in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicolas Bastiaens didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 29th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in sk bellem2's zone, Steve Dejonckheere stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolas Bastiaens came out of the goal and Steve Dejonckheere tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arthur-Maurits Enskens came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nicolas Bastiaens could save by the left post. After having played for 47 minutes, Frederik Thielemans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. sk bellem2's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frederik Thielemans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
