Spectators: 7647 (Terracing: 5737, Seating: 1758, VIP seats: 152) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Floris Sterckmans took the kick off in the first half of the match. Floris Sterckmans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bert Hemeleers didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 12th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Floris Sterckmans in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bert Hemeleers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 23 minutes, Abel Sarmiento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Invictus FC and the KFC Galifort players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of KFC Galifort booed when Invictus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Floris Sterckmans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bert Hemeleers was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. After 29 minutes, Gabriel Vermeesch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Invictus FC and the KFC Galifort players grew even worse after the yellow card. Floris Sterckmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bert Hemeleers having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Floris Sterckmans in the 39th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When Floris Sterckmans came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Invictus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Floris Sterckmans couldn't finish the play. In the 46th match minute, KFC Galifort was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfried Van den Dries to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yoeri Van der Perren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as KFC Galifort's Remi Van Hoeijveldt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alain Panhuijsen. That made the score 1-1 after 55 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilfried Van den Dries during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th match minute, KFC Galifort was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yoeri Van der Perren to maneuver through the defense. Marcus De Brouwer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 72 minutes of play, Invictus FC's Floris Sterckmans made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bert Hemeleers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bert Hemeleers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Floris Sterckmans, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. When Levi De Munck fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KFC Galifort's protests and gave Levi De Munck a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to KFC Galifort getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Levi De Munck hit a great ball. KFC Galifort's Bert Hemeleers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Floris Sterckmans in the 88th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Invictus FC had played much better football throughout.
