Merbes-le-Ch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastien Van Geestel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the FC Pinanti defense, Oliver Hauwaerts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frans Van Meenen. The FC Pinanti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frans Van Meenen should have stopped the shot. After having played for 38 minutes, Sebastien Van Geestel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merbes-le-Ch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastien Van Geestel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 40 minutes, Oliver Hauwaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olliver Heirpoel was the one to do the kick off. Frans Van Meenen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Sebastien Van Geestel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frans Van Meenen. FC Pinanti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastien Van Geestel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Felix Rockloos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, FC Pinanti's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastien Van Geestel came free, but Frans Van Meenen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frans Van Meenen acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 73rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Senne Van den Inde. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Rockloos in the 74th minute of play forced FC Pinanti's goalkeeper Frans Van Meenen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute of the match, Felix Rockloos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Frans Van Meenen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Merbes-le-Ch played a much better game than FC Pinanti and deserved their victory. The FC Pinanti players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
