In the 14th minute, Jelle Marant reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marciano Afonso. The goal made the score 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robbie Van Achter got free with Marciano Afonso in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Bas Van Kamp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Loid De Kepper was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. The supporters of Tisselt booed when Okapi aalstar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robbie Van Achter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tisselt's Bas Van Kamp got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martial Sterckmans in the 38th minute of play forced Okapi aalstar's goalkeeper Loid De Kepper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Tisselt defense, Ernst Klaes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marciano Afonso. The Tisselt fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marciano Afonso should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bas Van Kamp was the one to do the kick off. Jorne De Worteleer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Tisselt's Fre Demeyer got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 60th match minute, Okapi aalstar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christopher Leemans to maneuver through the defense. Tisselt's Marciano Afonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jelle Marant in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Arthur-Maurits Van Der Taelen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Jorre Petermans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Okapi aalstar's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorre Petermans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marciano Afonso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jelle Marant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marciano Afonso having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Tisselt's goal looked a bit too open when Robbie Van Achter came free, but Marciano Afonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Okapi aalstar's Jelle Marant sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marciano Afonso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marciano Afonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robbie Van Achter in the 86th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Okapi aalstar's Jonathan Hoes got a free kick in the 87th minute. When Okapi aalstar's Jelle Marant in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tisselt's goalie prevented a goal. Loid De Kepper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarno Maertens in the 93rd minute of play. Marciano Afonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jelle Marant in the 94th minute of the match. If Martial Sterckmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Okapi aalstar's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
