Staf Dauwen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Yanniek Severens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciney's Claude Spoelbergs got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Apostrophe FZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frederic Peten in the 39th minute. Staf Dauwen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yanniek Severens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Luka Verelst was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A wasted opportunity for Ciney. 70 minutes into the match, Apostrophe FZ's goal looked a bit too open when Staf Dauwen came free, but Yanniek Severens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Claude Spoelbergs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Apostrophe FZ's goalkeeper Yanniek Severens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
