After having played for 7 minutes, Garry Verbeeck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S52 Wonder Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Garry Verbeeck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guust Verheijd's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yanniek Severens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. S52 Wonder Team's Niki Van de cauter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save S52 Wonder Team from getting a goal against them. Brent-Jan De Wyngaert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, S52 Wonder Team's Niki Van de cauter got control of the ball when Brent-Jan De Wyngaert tried to sneak it across the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Apostrophe FZ's goal looked a bit too open when Guust Verheijd came free, but Yanniek Severens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Garry Verbeeck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Yanniek Severens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guust Verheijd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Brent-Jan De Wyngaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stijn De Ketelaere to strike the kick off in the second half. Yanniek Severens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guust Verheijd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Adolf Breugelmans fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Apostrophe FZ's protests and gave Adolf Breugelmans a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes Apostrophe FZ got a freekick which was hit by Adolf Breugelmans. After a rather tough play, S52 Wonder Team's Yoachim Van Laer got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Apostrophe FZ's goalkeeper Yanniek Severens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Garry Verbeeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Apostrophe FZ reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brent-Jan De Wyngaert in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niki Van de cauter saved S52 Wonder Team from getting behind. Garry Verbeeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over S52 Wonder Team could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Apostrophe FZ throughout the match.
