The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Martial Sterckmans kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Marciano Afonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remco Oliviers in the 12th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernest Martens during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tisselt booed when S52 Wonder Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernest Martens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marciano Afonso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guust Verheijd, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. A hard, long distance shot from Martial Sterckmans flew over the goal. Tisselt's Martial Sterckmans got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Bas Van Kamp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Niki Van de cauter was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 27th minute Ernest Martens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Afonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th match minute, Tisselt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martial Sterckmans to maneuver through the defense. When Garry Verbeeck came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the S52 Wonder Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Garry Verbeeck couldn't finish the play. Marciano Afonso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guust Verheijd, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 35th minute, Bas Van Kamp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guust Verheijd in the 40th minute of play forced Tisselt's goalkeeper Marciano Afonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marciano Afonso came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by S52 Wonder Team's Garry Verbeeck. But to his dismay, Garry Verbeeck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of S52 Wonder Team booed when Tisselt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur-Maurits Van Der Taelen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remco Oliviers, 50 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Marciano Afonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guust Verheijd in the 55th minute of play. Marciano Afonso didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 60th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. Yoachim Van Laer hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute Guust Verheijd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Afonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niki Van de cauter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fre Demeyer kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Remco Oliviers might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marciano Afonso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Remco Oliviers ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in S52 Wonder Team's zone, Pierre-Alexandre Lanckneus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niki Van de cauter came out of the goal and Pierre-Alexandre Lanckneus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martial Sterckmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, S52 Wonder Team's Yoachim Van Laer got a free kick in the 86th minute. Lucas Van Bever's late challenge caught a S52 Wonder Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucas Van Bever helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tisselt's Lucas Van Bever got a free kick in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yoachim Van Laer in the 91st minute of play forced Tisselt's goalkeeper Marciano Afonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martial Sterckmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Martial Sterckmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. S52 Wonder Team's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
