Terry Izemborgh struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Mathijs Mesmaekers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for R.W.D.M.. Sam-Lucas Loots made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henri Delen in the 23rd minute of play. Toon De Martelaere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 26 minutes, Billy Schoenmakers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wolfsburg and the R.W.D.M. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sam-Lucas Loots was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Henri Delen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to R.W.D.M. getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Ryan Boede hit a great ball. The R.W.D.M. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Wolfsburg were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Terry Izemborgh was the one to do the kick off. Terry Izemborgh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, R.W.D.M.'s Thys Vereect got a free kick in the 69th minute. Toon De Martelaere recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henri Delen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
