Spectators: 7351 (Terracing: 5626, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Henri Delen got the match started through his kick off. A collision led to FC Bayardii getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Didier Vloeberghs hit a great ball. After 4 played minutes, Wolfsburg's Ernest Wijgaert shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abel Vanden Bussche came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Wolfsburg reached it. In the 5th minute Henri Delen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Vanden Bussche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toon De Martelaere struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Abel Vanden Bussche didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wolfsburg. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Toon De Martelaere in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abel Vanden Bussche saved FC Bayardii from getting behind. Abel Vanden Bussche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toon De Martelaere, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. With a little luck, Wolfsburg's Mathijs Mesmaekers got control of the ball when Tim-Jan Hally tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute Henri Delen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Vanden Bussche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henri Delen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Toon De Martelaere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Abel Vanden Bussche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Toon De Martelaere ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Vanden Bussche was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Henri Delen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wolfsburg's Mathijs Mesmaekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Wolfsburg from getting a goal against them. If Dyllan Neef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Wolfsburg's zone, Alexandre Vervoort stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathijs Mesmaekers came out of the goal and Alexandre Vervoort tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The FC Bayardii players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Wolfsburg were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexandre Vervoort made a kick off. Dyllan Neef struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Mathijs Mesmaekers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Bayardii. After 54 played minutes FC Bayardii got a freekick which was hit by Eddy Deferme. In the 55th minute of the match Ernest Wijgaert shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abel Vanden Bussche showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 65th minute, FC Bayardii's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Toon De Martelaere fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Diederick Morreels was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 66 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Bayardii fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! Ernest Wijgaert shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Abel Vanden Bussche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henri Delen, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After having played for 78 minutes, Henri Delen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wolfsburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henri Delen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Bayardii fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! Henri Delen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The FC Bayardii fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Wolfsburg were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
