After 29 played minutes Club Eegem got a freekick which was hit by Andre La Rose. Jo Swinnen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hans Van Dongel's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Jacky Mallaerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Bauwens in the 47th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Bram Dejardin made the kick off in the second half. Mathieu-Maxim Walters kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute, Bram Dejardin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benny Gobeleyns recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 60 played minutes Club Eegem got a freekick which was hit by Hans Van Dongel. Laurenz Van Doren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacky Mallaerts having to interfere. Jacky Mallaerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bram Dejardin in the 74th minute of the match. Luke De Mesemaekre kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Andre La Rose in the 79th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Jo Swinnen's left hand side. After having played for 81 minutes, Mathis de Neutere managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Eegem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mathis de Neutere was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th minute, Mathis de Neutere made a precise shot to the right of Jo Swinnen. Baaigem's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
