FC Geenske's Ryan De Worteleere got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ryan De Worteleere might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustaaf Hollants. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ryan De Worteleere ran back to his position shaking his head. When SC Givry's Octaaf Verstraeten in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Johan Vinckx's late challenge caught a FC Geenske's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johan Vinckx helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th minute, Johan Vinckx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ryan De Worteleere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Ryan De Worteleere came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the FC Geenske fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ryan De Worteleere couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, FC Geenske's Dominik Arnoets got a free kick in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Octaaf Verstraeten was the one to do the kick off. Henrik Claessens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johan Vinckx, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. If Ryan De Worteleere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The SC Givry fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Geenske were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
