Bass Rutgeerts came out of the goal and Brian Verlinden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute Corneel De Keuster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bass Rutgeerts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, GS AS.'s Gustaaf De Weijngaert got a free kick in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the match, GS AS.'s goal looked a bit too open when Klaus Dechamps came free, but Bass Rutgeerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bass Rutgeerts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brian Verlinden's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Thomas-Jan Vos took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Bass Rutgeerts to make any attempt to save it. 89 minutes into the match, GS AS.'s goalkeeper Bass Rutgeerts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Corneel De Keuster. In the 90th minute, Corneel De Keuster reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bass Rutgeerts. The goal made the score 0-6. In the 94th minute, Brian Verlinden fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.
