Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Brian Verlinden started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Tomas Van Goethem was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Klaus Dechamps showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Klaus Dechamps sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Corneel De Keuster dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tomas Van Goethem, 2-0. In the 13th match minute, Annekenshoek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willem Wolfs to maneuver through the defense. Nils Coremans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomas Van Goethem read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Brian Verlinden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Tomas Van Goethem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Roben Reuters made a precise shot to the right of Yves Van Engelen. Hesbania FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After some careless play in the Annekenshoek defense, Klaus Dechamps kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomas Van Goethem. The Annekenshoek fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomas Van Goethem should have stopped the shot. Brian Verlinden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Corneel De Keuster got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Brian Verlinden came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Hesbania FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brian Verlinden couldn't finish the play. Brian Verlinden in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tomas Van Goethem, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 36th minute, Annekenshoek's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Thomas-Jan Vos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Brian Verlinden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roben Reuters blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yves Van Engelen having to make a save. Corneel De Keuster recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brian Verlinden's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Tomas Van Goethem skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roben Reuters was the one to do the kick off. When Brian Verlinden came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Hesbania FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brian Verlinden couldn't finish the play. In the 53rd minute Roben Reuters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yves Van Engelen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Annekenshoek defense, Brian Verlinden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomas Van Goethem. The Annekenshoek fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomas Van Goethem should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrez De Hertoge got free with Yves Van Engelen in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brian Verlinden struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Tomas Van Goethem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hesbania FC. Annekenshoek's Dirk Klaes shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 67th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Yves Van Engelen but with some difficulty. Andrez De Hertoge hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, Thomas-Jan Vos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomas Van Goethem was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Hesbania FC's Brian Verlinden got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 77 minutes, Corneel De Keuster managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hesbania FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corneel De Keuster was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Brian Verlinden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomas Van Goethem was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrez De Hertoge got free with Yves Van Engelen in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yves Van Engelen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roben Reuters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Annekenshoek's Andrez De Hertoge got a free kick in the 88th minute. Tomas Van Goethem stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brian Verlinden's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. If Brian Verlinden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hesbania FC had played much better football throughout.
