Claus Baeten made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Etienne Pacolet sent off a good shot on target. Etienne Pacolet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claus Baeten having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Etienne Pacolet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claus Baeten was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Etienne Pacolet was the one to do the kick off. Rajmond Gyselinckx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, Torpedo Wietschoate's goal looked a bit too open when Etienne Pacolet came free, but Claus Baeten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torpedo Wietschoate's Claus Baeten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Etienne Pacolet in the 74th minute of play. Etienne Pacolet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claus Baeten having to interfere. Abel Van der Veeren struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Claus Baeten didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KSV Brecht. An unexpectedly hard shot by Etienne Pacolet in the 81st minute of play forced Torpedo Wietschoate's goalkeeper Claus Baeten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claus Baeten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Etienne Pacolet, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Etienne Pacolet managed to get in a good position for a shot. KSV Brecht's supporters rose to their feet, but Etienne Pacolet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claus Baeten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rens Van de cauter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rajmond Gyselinckx in the 93rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in KSV Brecht's zone, Rajmond Gyselinckx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rens Van de cauter came out of the goal and Rajmond Gyselinckx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The KSV Brecht fans cheered their team off the field, for while Torpedo Wietschoate had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
