Jesse Van Meerbeeck might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matias Lijsens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jesse Van Meerbeeck ran back to his position shaking his head. Wes Gysens struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Matias Lijsens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SK Orp-Jauche. After 39 played minutes Strijpen got a freekick which was hit by Julien Vanden Berghe. An unexpected shot in the 48th minute by Karl Lefevere got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Remy Jonckers made a kick off. Gilbert Vandekerkhove showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remy Jonckers in the 53rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SK Orp-Jauche's zone, Karl Lefevere stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilbert Vandekerkhove came out of the goal and Karl Lefevere tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karl Lefevere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl Lefevere's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilbert Vandekerkhove read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 74 minutes into the game, when Jeffrey Van Achten put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of SK Orp-Jauche:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Strijpen:s goal. Strijpen's Matias Lijsens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wes Gysens in the 88th minute of play. Gilbert Vandekerkhove showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remy Jonckers in the 97th minute of the match. Gilbert Vandekerkhove showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remy Jonckers, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. Strijpen's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
