Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dre Van Leemputte kicked off to start the match. Club Zwalm's Thierry De Kijser got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thierry De Kijser got free with Lenny Thys in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 9 played minutes egerci got a freekick which was hit by Remie Wautiers. Thierry De Kijser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Lenny Thys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dre Van Leemputte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 25thth minute of the game Lennart Paschiers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but egerci's Lenny Thys was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Thierry De Kijser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pascal Van De Wiele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrad Naegels, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, Club Zwalm's Kurt Reynaerts got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Thierry De Kijser struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Lenny Thys didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Zwalm. Mathis Scherens received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lenny Thys came out and tried to block the shot, but Mathis Scherens slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 43rd minute. Lenny Thys made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thierry De Kijser in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Conrad Naegels was the one to do the kick off. Lenny Thys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dre Van Leemputte in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Thierry De Kijser left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Zwalm fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 61st minute Dre Van Leemputte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lenny Thys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conrad Naegels's late challenge caught a Club Zwalm's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conrad Naegels helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, egerci's Conrad Naegels got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Norbert De Kocks short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Pascal Van De Wiele to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Adam Scheerens hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When Kurt Reynaerts fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Zwalm's protests and gave Kurt Reynaerts a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of egerci booed when Club Zwalm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Reynaerts didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Jannic Schamp from long distance, 69 minutes into the match, got Pascal Van De Wiele's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ruben de Vleeschouwer made a great header on Club Zwalm's corner, it was just that egerci's Lenny Thys managed to reach the ball for a save. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Zwalm fully deserved thier win.
