Rocky van Haghten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 6 minutes into the match, FC Tienen's goalkeeper Yannik Marrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rocky van Haghten. Dominik Libreghts kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dolf Descamps in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yannik Marrant saved FC Tienen from getting behind. Dolf Descamps recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Tienen's Yannik Marrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dolf Descamps in the 11th minute of play. Robbe Helssens took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maurus Labrouche. Maurus Labrouche dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 20th minute Robbe Helssens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurus Labrouche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, FC Tienen's Robbe Helssens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maurus Labrouche narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dolf Descamps received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Yannik Marrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 24 minutes, Rocky van Haghten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zele's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rocky van Haghten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC Tienen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zele the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC Tienen's Dominik Libreghts got a free kick in the 27th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Zele's Sven De Ceijser tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 29 played minutes FC Tienen got a freekick which was hit by Robert Wenderix. FC Tienen's Yannik Marrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dolf Descamps in the 35th minute of play. Rocky van Haghten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Yannik Marrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lieven Van Latem kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Zele's Sven De Ceijser broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Zele were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after FC Tienen's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sven De Ceijser took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Sven De Ceijser got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Yannik Marrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Dolf Descamps's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yannik Marrant was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
54 minutes into the match, Dolf Descamps notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Tienen's Yannik Marrant. Yannik Marrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kenney Neirynck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Maurus Labrouche made a huge save. Maurus Labrouche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robbe Helssens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giovanny Van Den Brande during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Zele's Giovanny Van Den Brande got a free kick in the 69th minute. Maurus Labrouche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robbe Helssens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurus Labrouche made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Kenney Neirynck sent off a good shot on target. Mathieu-Maxim De Vadder hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Kenney Neirynck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Robbe Helssens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurus Labrouche having to interfere. Rocky van Haghten struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Yannik Marrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zele. In the 90th minute, Dolf Descamps got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
