Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Pierre-Olivier Degryse made the kick off and thus started the match. When De Fenix boys's Fernand de Pelsmaker in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Zwalm's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, De Fenix boys's Billie Van der Roost got control of the ball when Thierry De Kijser tried to sneak it across the goal line. When De Fenix boys's Pierre-Olivier Degryse in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Zwalm's goalie prevented a goal. Club Zwalm's Pascal Van De Wiele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernand de Pelsmaker in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre-Olivier Degryse in the 22nd minute of play forced Club Zwalm's goalkeeper Pascal Van De Wiele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of De Fenix boys booed when Club Zwalm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Scheerens didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 minutes of play, Club Zwalm's Thierry De Kijser made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Billie Van der Roost was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kurt Reynaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billie Van der Roost having to interfere. Billie Van der Roost showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dre Van Leemputte, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in De Fenix boys's zone, Thierry De Kijser stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Billie Van der Roost came out of the goal and Thierry De Kijser tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dre Van Leemputte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thierry De Kijser in the 48thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Billie Van der Roost, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dre Van Leemputte made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Club Zwalm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernt Tuerlinckx to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to De Fenix boys getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Ruud Helsen hit a great ball. After 55 played minutes Club Zwalm got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Reynaerts. Dre Van Leemputte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billie Van der Roost having to interfere. Pierre-Olivier Degryse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 72 played minutes Club Zwalm got a freekick which was hit by Benny Huijbreghts. After a defensive mix-up in Club Zwalm's zone, Fernand de Pelsmaker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pascal Van De Wiele came out of the goal and Fernand de Pelsmaker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernand de Pelsmaker's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pascal Van De Wiele firmly grabbed it by the left post. 82 minutes into the match, De Fenix boys's goal looked a bit too open when Dre Van Leemputte came free, but Billie Van der Roost reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thierry De Kijser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Club Zwalm's goal looked a bit too open when Pierre-Olivier Degryse came free, but Pascal Van De Wiele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pascal Van De Wiele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre-Olivier Degryse in the 90th minute of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Dre Van Leemputte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Zwalm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dre Van Leemputte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernand de Pelsmaker struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Pascal Van De Wiele didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De Fenix boys. For all the effort they put into the match, the De Fenix boys players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Zwalm.
