Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Dolf Descamps started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Nic Vos was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Dolf Descamps capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dolf Descamps really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When Giovanny Van Den Brande fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zele's protests and gave Giovanny Van Den Brande a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes Zele got a freekick which was hit by Giovanny Van Den Brande. Jose Wijns hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Rocky van Haghten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th match minute, KSV Vlasmeer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthy Loos to maneuver through the defense. Nic Vos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dolf Descamps, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Rocky van Haghten might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nic Vos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rocky van Haghten ran back to his position shaking his head. Rocky van Haghten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th match minute, KSV Vlasmeer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfried Van den Haute to maneuver through the defense. If Rocky van Haghten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dolf Descamps fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nic Vos having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brend Smedts to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dolf Descamps in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nic Vos saved KSV Vlasmeer from getting behind. In the 57th minute, Rocky van Haghten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zele fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when KSV Vlasmeer's Brend Smedts in the 66th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Maurus Labrouche was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Zele through an amazing save. Maurus Labrouche made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maurice De Kelper in the 68th minute. Maurus Labrouche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brend Smedts, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Maurus Labrouche was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Brend Smedts capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Brend Smedts really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. If Brend Smedts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maurus Labrouche made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Maurice De Kelper sent off a good shot on target. Nic Vos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dolf Descamps in the 87th minute of the match. Maurus Labrouche made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maurice De Kelper in the 92nd minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
