Evert-Jan Henskens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacq Le Page in the 5th minute of the match. After some careless play in the FC Boterpot defense, Sam-Lucas Rosseels kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evert-Jan Henskens. The FC Boterpot fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evert-Jan Henskens should have stopped the shot. In the 17th minute Sam-Lucas Rosseels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evert-Jan Henskens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute Henrik Van De Beeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Puttemas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 played minutes return of the angels got a freekick which was hit by William Van Espen. Carlos Puttemas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrik Van De Beeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ewout Jacobs in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Carlos Puttemas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Laurenz Soetemans fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Boterpot's protests and gave Laurenz Soetemans a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th minute, Laurenz Soetemans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Puttemas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Henrik Van De Beeck showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 38 minute of play. Jacq Le Page sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kevin Jonckheere kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Sam-Lucas Rosseels made the kick off in the second half. Sam-Lucas Rosseels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Evert-Jan Henskens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henrik Van De Beeck might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Puttemas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henrik Van De Beeck ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to return of the angels getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Robbie Raniers hit a great ball. In the 74th minute Sam-Lucas Rosseels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evert-Jan Henskens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sam-Lucas Rosseels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Boterpot's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sam-Lucas Rosseels 81 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. A collision led to return of the angels getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. William Van Espen hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the match, FC Boterpot's Aime Jaspers broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jacq Le Page fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evert-Jan Henskens having to interfere. FC Boterpot succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though return of the angels had controlled the match.
