Antonello Mangione's late challenge caught a Dion-Le-Mont's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonello Mangione helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 played minutes The Dinosaurs got a freekick which was hit by Antonello Mangione. Rocky De Vreese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diederik den Ronden in the 15th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Samuel Stoffels's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rocky De Vreese was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Tijs Maerschalks charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tijs Maerschalks the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, The Dinosaurs's Tijs Maerschalks got a free kick in the 18th minute. Eralp Zati struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Vince Van De Gehuchte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Vince Van De Gehuchte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tijs Maerschalks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Tijs Maerschalks dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vince Van De Gehuchte, 1-0. After having played for 40 minutes, Tijs Maerschalks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Dinosaurs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tijs Maerschalks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dean Neirynck hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Tijs Maerschalks made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, The Dinosaurs's Filip Brabant got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in The Dinosaurs fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 55 minutes, Dion-Le-Mont's Frederik Van Aertvin got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rocky De Vreese. Filip Brabant kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Diederik den Ronden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute Tijs Maerschalks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vince Van De Gehuchte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diederik den Ronden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rocky De Vreese read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th match minute, The Dinosaurs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopold Govaerts to maneuver through the defense. Chants of Dion-Le-Mont echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as The Dinosaurs had held the ball for most of the match.
