After a defensive mix-up in RAEC Mons's zone, Dolf Van de Loock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yanne Du Bois came out of the goal and Dolf Van de Loock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of RAEC Mons booed when Olympia Beerschot 13 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balthazar Postens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeremey Verhaghen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronald Vervoort, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lorenz Van den Berch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronald Vervoort struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Jeremey Verhaghen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RAEC Mons. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Klaus Deroek during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 26 played minutes RAEC Mons got a freekick which was hit by Klaus Deroek. Lorenz Van den Berch came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jeremey Verhaghen could save by the left post. With a little luck, Olympia Beerschot 13's Jeremey Verhaghen got control of the ball when Lorenz Van den Berch tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lorenz Van den Berch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremey Verhaghen having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronald Vervoort to make the kick off. RAEC Mons's Yanne Du Bois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dolf Van de Loock in the 55th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Olympia Beerschot 13 got a freekick which was hit by Dolf Toeback. When Dolf Van de Loock came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Olympia Beerschot 13 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dolf Van de Loock couldn't finish the play. When Rudi Klinkenberg fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olympia Beerschot 13's protests and gave Rudi Klinkenberg a yellow card for diving instead. Rudi Klinkenberg hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Yanne Du Bois was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rudi Klinkenberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 64 minute of play. Dolf Van de Loock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Yanne Du Bois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th match minute, RAEC Mons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klaus Deroek to maneuver through the defense. Rudi Klinkenberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Yanne Du Bois made a huge save. Olympia Beerschot 13's Dolf Van de Loock got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Olympia Beerschot 13 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
