The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeffery Van Hoeij got free with Karel De Roest in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dimitri Vissenaeckens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yelle Denturck in the 15th minute of play. Karel De Roest took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wouter Dumont, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Fc Robbe's goalkeeper Karel De Roest had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeffery Van Hoeij. Natan Raeijmaeckers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karel De Roest having to interfere. If Natan Raeijmaeckers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natan Raeijmaeckers in the 26th minute of play forced Fc Robbe's goalkeeper Karel De Roest to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Fc Robbe getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Yelle Denturck hit a great ball. When Willy Cox fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Gerbalona's protests and gave Willy Cox a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 played minutes FC Gerbalona got a freekick which was hit by Willy Cox. Guido Roeckeloos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Natan Raeijmaeckers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Karel De Roest managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when FC Gerbalona's Natan Raeijmaeckers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Karel De Roest was a little too slow when Ignace Verheijden got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 43 minutes, Remi Van den Maegdenbergh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fc Robbe and the FC Gerbalona players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some careless play in the Fc Robbe defense, Jeffery Van Hoeij kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karel De Roest. The Fc Robbe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karel De Roest should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dries Taverniers to strike the kick off in the second half. Dries Taverniers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karel De Roest having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Jeffery Van Hoeij got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Natan Raeijmaeckers managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Gerbalona's supporters rose to their feet, but Natan Raeijmaeckers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karel De Roest breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute Dries Taverniers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karel De Roest saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Jeffery Van Hoeij made a precise shot to the right of Karel De Roest. Fc Robbe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Natan Raeijmaeckers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karel De Roest read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Natan Raeijmaeckers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jeffery Van Hoeij came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the FC Gerbalona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeffery Van Hoeij couldn't finish the play. Fc Robbe's Karel De Roest played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natan Raeijmaeckers in the 78th minute of play.
