A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Sebbe Van Linthoudt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Sylvan Valckenaers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Janes Van de Leest hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rudi Docx charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rudi Docx the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Sint-Truiden's Rudi Docx got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 20th minute of the match Janes Van de Leest shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lennart Verengen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Rocky Meeuwissen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lennart Verengen. FC Sint-Truiden's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rocky Meeuwissen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Sebbe Van Linthoudt managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Sint-Truiden's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebbe Van Linthoudt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sylvan Valckenaers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, blauwe duivels's Sylvan Valckenaers got control of the ball when Ief De Scheper tried to sneak it across the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, blauwe duivels's goal looked a bit too open when Sebbe Van Linthoudt came free, but Sylvan Valckenaers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebbe Van Linthoudt struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Sylvan Valckenaers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Sint-Truiden. In the 43rd minute, Berten Vranx got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rocky Meeuwissen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lennart Verengen having to make a save. In the 46th minute, Rudi Docx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebbe Van Linthoudt in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sylvan Valckenaers saved blauwe duivels from getting behind. blauwe duivels's Sylvan Valckenaers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebbe Van Linthoudt in the 57th minute of play. Lennart Verengen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rocky Meeuwissen's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the match, FC Sint-Truiden's goalkeeper Lennart Verengen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Berten Vranx. In the 62nd minute, Raymond Van De Wyngaert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ief De Scheper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Sylvan Valckenaers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Sint-Truiden's Ramon Rousseau got a free kick in the 78th minute. Sylvan Valckenaers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebbe Van Linthoudt in the 82nd minute of the match. Sylvan Valckenaers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ief De Scheper in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute Sebbe Van Linthoudt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylvan Valckenaers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ief De Scheper recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Sint-Truiden were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing blauwe duivels to leave the ground with a draw.
