The supporters of FC Gerbalona booed when FC Verberckt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vic Switten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bas De Wortelaer was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ron Jaspers. Natan Raeijmaeckers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natan Raeijmaeckers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bas De Wortelaer having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Wouter Dumont hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Natan Raeijmaeckers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Natan Raeijmaeckers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Bas De Wortelaer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Verberckt's zone, Natan Raeijmaeckers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bas De Wortelaer came out of the goal and Natan Raeijmaeckers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Natan Raeijmaeckers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bas De Wortelaer having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Ignace Verheijden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Steve Schaerlaekens came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the FC Verberckt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steve Schaerlaekens couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute Steve Schaerlaekens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitri Vissenaeckens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maurus Sustens took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dimitri Vissenaeckens. Dimitri Vissenaeckens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dries Taverniers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. But to his dismay, Natan Raeijmaeckers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Dimitri Vissenaeckens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve Schaerlaekens, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Wouter Dumont charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wouter Dumont the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Gerbalona getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Dimitri Vissenaeckens was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dirk Rogiers. Bas De Wortelaer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeffery Van Hoeij, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. FC Gerbalona made a substitution. Klaus Van Mellart replaced Ignace Verheijden. When FC Gerbalona's Natan Raeijmaeckers in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
