Spectators: 6833 (Terracing: 5100, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 0) FC Verberckt's Maurus Sustens started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The blauwe duivels fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when blauwe duivels's Berten Vranx looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, blauwe duivels's Jeremy Schoolmeesters got a free kick in the 9th minute. FC Verberckt's Dirk Rogiers couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 10th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for blauwe duivels. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maurus Sustens in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sylvan Valckenaers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 15th minute Maurus Sustens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylvan Valckenaers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Maurus Sustens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Berten Vranx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Bas De Wortelaer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steve Schaerlaekens struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Sylvan Valckenaers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Verberckt. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when FC Verberckt's Maurus Sustens in the 33rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Sylvan Valckenaers was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for blauwe duivels through an amazing save. Sylvan Valckenaers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurus Sustens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Berten Vranx came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the blauwe duivels fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Berten Vranx couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Berten Vranx in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bas De Wortelaer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 46 minutes into the game, Loui Reniers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Verberckt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave blauwe duivels the free kick. After 46 played minutes FC Verberckt got a freekick which was hit by Loui Reniers. Berten Vranx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Bas De Wortelaer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 52nd minute, Berten Vranx reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bas De Wortelaer. The goal made the score 0-2. Sylvan Valckenaers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurus Sustens in the 58th minute of the match. In the 61stth minute of the game Rocky Meeuwissen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Verberckt's Bas De Wortelaer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, blauwe duivels's Bas De Wortelaer threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rocky Meeuwissen, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Maurus Sustens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sylvan Valckenaers having to interfere. If Maurus Sustens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurus Sustens in the 87th minute of play forced blauwe duivels's goalkeeper Sylvan Valckenaers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When blauwe duivels's Rocky Meeuwissen in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Verberckt's goalie prevented a goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched blauwe duivels eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
