Albert Shamp ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 13th minute Yoachim Van Brussel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerry Deman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Kent De Witte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannick Gobelijns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Floris Naessens hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After having played for 22 minutes, Floris Naessens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Woef Woef's supporters crossed their fingers, but Floris Naessens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diego Loremans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jannick Gobelijns having to interfere. When Sebbe Hollandts fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KFC Postel's protests and gave Sebbe Hollandts a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Woef Woef booed when KFC Postel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebbe Hollandts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Philippe Anthonis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Jerry Deman made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 36th minute by Albert Shamp got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, KFC Postel's Jerry Deman got control of the ball when Albert Shamp tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jerry Deman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Albert Shamp came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Woef Woef fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albert Shamp couldn't finish the play. If Albert Shamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yoachim Van Brussel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerry Deman having to interfere. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind KFC Postel's goalkeeper Jerry Deman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Woef Woef's Floris Naessens got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 90 played minutes KFC Postel got a freekick which was hit by Erwin Jennis. When Albert Shamp came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Woef Woef fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albert Shamp couldn't finish the play. Jerry Deman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Floris Naessens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Woef Woef were the better team. Woef Woef's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
