The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Yens Verdonckt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jean-Louis Van Langhendonck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Jean-Louis Van Langhendonck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yens Verdonckt in the 54th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yens Verdonckt in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean-Louis Van Langhendonck saved KV Chiro from getting behind. Julius Lambrechts struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Jean-Louis Van Langhendonck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stabroek. Jean-Louis Van Langhendonck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yens Verdonckt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yens Verdonckt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julius Lambrechts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jean-Louis Van Langhendonck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yens Verdonckt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Stabroek fully deserved thier win.
