Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute Alex Rosbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yanick Kortens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute, Thommy Verhengen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yanick Kortens was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 8th match minute, KAA Melden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucien Huybrechts to maneuver through the defense. Lucas Bernardts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Yanick Kortens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, KAA Melden 's Yanick Kortens got control of the ball when Patrik deconinck tried to sneak it across the goal line. KAA Melden 's Yanick Kortens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steve Maes in the 16th minute of play. Yanick Kortens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Rosbach in the 18th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, KAA Melden 's goalkeeper Yanick Kortens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Bernardts. Petegem's Patrik deconinck got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Lucas Bernardts managed to get in a good position for a shot. Petegem's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Bernardts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yanick Kortens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. KAA Melden 's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Patrik deconinck scored to the left of an out of position Yanick Kortens, making the score, 2-0. With a little luck, KAA Melden 's Yanick Kortens got control of the ball when Lucas Bernardts tried to sneak it across the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Alex Rosbach recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Yanick Kortens. Alex Rosbach showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Lucas Bernardts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yanick Kortens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucas Bernardts in the 39th minute. Teo Vandewalle lost his temper 41 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Timmy Carpenter to make the kick off. KAA Melden 's Yanick Kortens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joeri Schol in the 51st minute of play. Joeri Lieckens kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Matijs Van Clijnebreugel might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yanick Kortens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matijs Van Clijnebreugel ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Rosbach in the 56th minute of play forced KAA Melden 's goalkeeper Yanick Kortens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to KAA Melden getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Thibau Sabbe hit a great ball. Yanick Kortens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steve Maes in the 62nd minute of play. In the 67th minute, Alex Rosbach left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Petegem fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. KAA Melden 's Yanick Kortens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Rosbach in the 78th minute of play. Alex Rosbach took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yanick Kortens. Yanick Kortens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Steve Maes scored 8-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yanick Kortens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alex Rosbach took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yanick Kortens. Yanick Kortens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. Yanick Kortens came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Petegem's Alex Rosbach. But to his dismay, Alex Rosbach quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. Yanick Kortens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Rosbach in the 97th minute of play.
