Arne Eli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl Van Havent in the 4th minute of the match. After some careless play in the AFC Vlissegem defense, Laurent Massenhove kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arne Eli. The AFC Vlissegem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arne Eli should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, St. Norbert College's Charly Visch got a free kick in the 10th minute. A collision led to St. Norbert College getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Jimmy Van Adorp hit a great ball. Olliver Demarrez shot from long distance in the 13th minute, but Steffen Weygaerts was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 15thth minute of the game Karl Van Havent who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC Vlissegem's Arne Eli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 15th minute, Antoine Louis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laurent Massenhove in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arne Eli saved AFC Vlissegem from getting behind. Yelle Van Collenborgh received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Steffen Weygaerts came out and tried to block the shot, but Yelle Van Collenborgh slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 28th minute. If Karl Van Havent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laurent Massenhove received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Arne Eli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Karl Van Havent ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arne Eli was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Loid Van de kauter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pierre-Paul De Bougne kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steffe De Raedemaeker in the 45th minute of play forced AFC Vlissegem's goalkeeper Arne Eli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Loid Van de kauter was the one to do the kick off. Jimmy Van Adorp's late challenge caught a AFC Vlissegem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Van Havent in the 61st minute of play forced AFC Vlissegem's goalkeeper Arne Eli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, AFC Vlissegem's Arne Eli got control of the ball when Laurent Massenhove tried to sneak it across the goal line. Karl Van Havent was extremely unlucky when he, in the 65th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Jimmy Van Adorp managed to get in a good position for a shot. St. Norbert College's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laurent Massenhove was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arne Eli made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Laurent Massenhove sent off a good shot on target. St. Norbert College's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
