In the 11th minute, Pieter-Maarten Meeuwissen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vicente Schautens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pieter-Maarten Meeuwissen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. St. Norbert College's Steffen Weygaerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Schautens in the 21st minute of play. Dries Van Aghten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Van Havent in the 23rd minute of play. Pieter-Maarten Meeuwissen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steffen Weygaerts having to interfere. Steffen Weygaerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Schautens, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Vicente Schautens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laurent Massenhove sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pieter-Maarten Meeuwissen took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Steffen Weygaerts. Steffen Weygaerts dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karl Van Havent was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Schautens in the 57th minute of play forced St. Norbert College's goalkeeper Steffen Weygaerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, St. Norbert College's Jimmy Van Adorp got a free kick in the 64th minute. Karl Van Havent recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71stth minute of the game Laurent Massenhove who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haringe's Dries Van Aghten was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by St. Norbert College's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Benjamin Van der Weijden was slow to take the kick. During this time Haringe's players had a chance to rest. Laurent Massenhove might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dries Van Aghten. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laurent Massenhove ran back to his position shaking his head. If Laurent Massenhove had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Karl Van Havent notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Haringe's Dries Van Aghten. Dries Van Aghten was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Pieter-Maarten Meeuwissen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rocky Vanden Berghe fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Haringe's protests and gave Rocky Vanden Berghe a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th match minute, Haringe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rocky Vanden Berghe to maneuver through the defense. After 98 played minutes St. Norbert College got a freekick which was hit by Jan Coopmans. When the match was over Haringe could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than St. Norbert College throughout the match.
