Spectators: 5003 (Terracing: 4001, Seating: 1001, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Roeland kicked off to start the match. The supporters of FC Club Brugge booed when Thildonk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxim-Alexander Van Gorp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frederick Deswarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Roeland's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Roeland in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frederick Deswarte saved Thildonk from getting behind. In the 14th match minute, FC Club Brugge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurus Van Hole to maneuver through the defense. Frederick Deswarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Roeland's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Brend Mestdagh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Staf Reuters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the game, Anthoon Gyselinckx cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Frederick Deswarte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 33 minutes into the game, Fransesco De Hertoghe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Club Brugge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Thildonk the free kick. In the 33rd minute, Fransesco De Hertoghe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Roeland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Fransesco De Hertoghe came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the FC Club Brugge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fransesco De Hertoghe couldn't finish the play. Johan Steuckens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Daniel Roeland struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Frederick Deswarte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Club Brugge. In the 57th minute, Ernst Klijnhens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 played minutes Thildonk got a freekick which was hit by Yoachim Neefs. When FC Club Brugge's Daniel Roeland in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Thildonk's goalie prevented a goal. If Anthoon Gyselinckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute of the match Fransesco De Hertoghe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frederick Deswarte skillfully saved the ball. In the 89th match minute, Thildonk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brent-Jan Decorte to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Roeland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Frederick Deswarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vic De Kerper in the 95th minute of play forced FC Club Brugge's goalkeeper Brend Mestdagh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
