In the 16th minute Mickael Ceulemans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brend Mestdagh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rajmond Huijbrechts hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Brend Mestdagh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rajmond Huijbrechts in the 20th minute of the match. A collision led to Awesome Ville getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Joey Leyman hit a great ball. Daniel Roelands short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Ignace Van Linthaut to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Anthoon Gyselinckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Roeland in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ignace Van Linthaut, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Daniel Roeland's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Ignace Van Linthaut skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 46 minutes into the game, Johan Steuckens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Club Brugge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Awesome Ville the free kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Mickael Ceulemans made the kick off in the second half. Thomas-Jan Van Malcot struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Brend Mestdagh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Awesome Ville. In the 54th minute, FC Club Brugge's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joey Leyman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Mathieux Engelberchs fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Club Brugge's protests and gave Mathieux Engelberchs a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC Club Brugge's Mathieux Engelberchs got a free kick in the 56th minute. Awesome Ville's Ignace Van Linthaut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joppe Vrankx in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Club Brugge's Fransesco De Hertoghe got a free kick in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Roeland in the 65th minute of play forced Awesome Ville's goalkeeper Ignace Van Linthaut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anthoon Gyselinckx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But to his dismay, Daniel Roeland quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Manu Reyniers charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manu Reyniers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Manu Reyniers kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Roeland in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ignace Van Linthaut saved Awesome Ville from getting behind. After having played for 83 minutes, Anthoon Gyselinckx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Club Brugge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anthoon Gyselinckx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ignace Van Linthaut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Roeland, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Daniel Roeland scored 2-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ignace Van Linthaut, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Roeland in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ignace Van Linthaut prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thomas-Jan Van Malcot during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Awesome Ville getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Thomas-Jan Van Malcot hit a great ball.
