Antonio Koninkx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathijs Van Der Weghen having to interfere. Gunther Meeuwissen hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Jannick Verdonckt was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Johannes Roosendael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Axell Helssens having to interfere. SK Kolegem's Axell Helssens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Roosendael in the 14th minute of play. Waalshoek's Philippe-Arnaud De nuijter got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of SK Kolegem booed when Waalshoek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rocky Hemberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonio Koninkx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Waalshoek getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Mattijs Van Kelf hit a great ball. In the 48th minute there was a penalty for Waalshoek. Jeffrey Schoolmeesters stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Axell Helssens. 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antonio Koninkx to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Antonio Koninkx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathijs Van Der Weghen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When SK Kolegem's Martin De Marrez in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Martin De Marrez managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Kolegem's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin De Marrez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathijs Van Der Weghen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Waalshoek's Johannes Roosendael slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Axell Helssens. That made the score 1-2 after 76 minutes of play. Johannes Roosendael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philippe-Arnaud De nuijter in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Axell Helssens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Axell Helssens made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Johannes Roosendael sent off a good shot on target. 91 minutes into the game, one of Waalshoek:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave SK Kolegem a penalty, 93 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jannick Verdonckt, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Waalshoek's Mathijs Van Der Weghen. 2-2. If Antonio Koninkx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 102nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
