A collision led to Zwartberg Zuid getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Oscar Kustermans hit a great ball. In the 6th minute Sebbe Huijbrechs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Deckkers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tristan Deckkers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans Kersselaers in the 7th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebbe Huijbrechs in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tristan Deckkers saved Zwartberg Zuid from getting behind. Hans Kersselaers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th match minute, Zwartberg Zuid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Loremans to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute Hans Kersselaers suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Xander-Paul De Meulder placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Sebbe Huijbrechs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tristan Deckkers having to make a save. Tristan Deckkers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominic den Ronden in the 20th minute of the match. Sebbe Huijbrechs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tristan Deckkers having to interfere. Zwartberg Zuid's Tristan Deckkers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebbe Huijbrechs in the 24th minute of play. Sebbe Huijbrechs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tristan Deckkers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebbe Huijbrechs in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebbe Huijbrechs in the 35th minute of play forced Zwartberg Zuid's goalkeeper Tristan Deckkers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Zwartberg Zuid's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Laremans came free, but Tristan Deckkers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sebbe Huijbrechs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zwartberg Zuid's Tristan Deckkers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebbe Huijbrechs in the 40th minute of play. Gierle's Sebbe Huijbrechs got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Zwartberg Zuid's zone, Dominic den Ronden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tristan Deckkers came out of the goal and Dominic den Ronden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Sebbe Huijbrechs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gierle's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebbe Huijbrechs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tristan Deckkers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 47 minutes into the match, Zwartberg Zuid's goal looked a bit too open when Sebbe Huijbrechs came free, but Tristan Deckkers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sebbe Huijbrechs to strike the kick off in the second half. Tristan Deckkers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claude Hoolemans in the 52nd minute of play. Tristan Deckkers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebbe Huijbrechs in the 53rd minute of the match. When Claude Hoolemans came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Gierle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claude Hoolemans couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Sebbe Huijbrechs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tristan Deckkers was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. In the 58th minute Sebbe Huijbrechs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Deckkers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Zwartberg Zuid's goal looked a bit too open when Sebbe Huijbrechs came free, but Tristan Deckkers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tristan Deckkers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebbe Huijbrechs in the 68th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Tristan Deckkers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dominic den Ronden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tristan Deckkers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebbe Huijbrechs in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tristan Deckkers saved Zwartberg Zuid from getting behind. Claude Hoolemans blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tristan Deckkers having to make a save. Sebbe Huijbrechs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the match, Sebbe Huijbrechs dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tristan Deckkers, 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Sebbe Huijbrechs kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tristan Deckkers. That made the score 0-2 in the 81 minute of play. If Sebbe Huijbrechs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tristan Deckkers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebbe Huijbrechs, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Sebbe Huijbrechs might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tristan Deckkers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebbe Huijbrechs ran back to his position shaking his head. If Claude Hoolemans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle sounded Gierle left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Zwartberg Zuid.
